About Meredith Yelton

Meredith was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  Growing up loving to create led her to study painting at the University of Louisville's Hite Art Institute.  There, she studied under Gabrielle Mayer, as well as Neil Callander and Mark Priest. In 2012, she graduated with a thesis collection that focused on the idea and process of moving, with attention to light and reflection.  Shortly after, she moved to Chicago, IL, where she now lives with her husband.  Since moving she has expanded her work to include photography and jewelry design.  She has since started her own business, La Petite Pearls.  She continues to paint, now focusing on portraiture.

Her current work in painting is focusing on portraits of loved ones, the first titled A Portrait of My Father.
